How we worked this out
- Your roof from map data: the sunniest usable faces, and how many panels they can hold.
- Electricity price 26.32p/kWh, the Ofgem price cap for October to December 2026. Export 12p/kWh, a typical Smart Export Guarantee tariff.
- Batteries store spare solar for the evening, and on darker days charge on a smart overnight tariff (about 7.5p/kWh) to avoid peak prices.
- Generation about 935 kWh per kWp a year for a south-facing roof at your latitude, adjusted for your roof's direction, pitch and shading.
- Prices come from the installer's own price list, set up with them. The figures in this demo are examples.
